BitTorrent

What is BitTorrent?
BitTorrent is an Peer-to-peer internet protocol for remote distribution of files.
There are two important things to know. First there is the tracker, a file, which describes the data you want to download and which knows what other people, are connected to this Torrent and what data they have. Second you have a client application, which lets you connect to the tracker. After connection, the tracker manages to download the file chunk by chunk from various other clients.

This system works better the more people participate and share their parts. So even when you have downloaded the complete file, leave it open and help distribution to other racing fans, who are eagerly waiting to try the mod.
How to use BitTorrent?
You have to get a BitTorrent-Client. Here is a list of clients for Windows:
Install the software. Now first, you download the torrent-file and open it with the client. The client will register, maybe ask where to save the file and imidiately start connecting to the tracker and beginn to download. This may be a bit slow at the beginn but accelerate quickly.
Are there more BitTorrents for rFactor?
All our rFactor-Mods are also available for download via BitTorrent.
Other racing mods can be obtained on Trackersites like RaceSimTracker.
